FNP Prize 2025 – Recognition for Professor Wojciech Knap
Yesterday’s gala of the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) marked the announcement of the 2025 FNP Prize laureates – the most prestigious scientific distinction in Poland, often referred to as the “Polish Nobel.” The prize honors groundbreaking research achievements that significantly advance scientific knowledge and open new horizons for future technologies.
We are proud to share that Professor Wojciech Knap, affiliated with the Institute of High Pressure Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the CENTERA Laboratory at CEZAMAT PW, is among this year’s awardees. Professor Knap was recognized for developing innovative methods of generating and detecting terahertz waves, paving the way for ultra-fast wireless communication and novel applications of THz technologies.
