Job Announcement:

2 positions as research officer/specialist/junior specialist in integrated photonics in the project

„Advanced Photonic Integrated Circuits Pilot Line for Europe – PIXEurope”

 

funded by the from Horizon Europe under GA Project 101213727 and Partners‘ National Public Authorities

 

Location, Employment Form, and Conditions:

  • Employment Type: employment contract ( 0,2 FTE).
  • Workplace: Warsaw University of Technology
  • Contract Duration: Initial 3-month probation period, with a total contract duration of minimum 12 months, including the probationary period.
  • Role: Participation in a prestigious research project titled „Advanced Photonic Integrated Circuits Pilot Line for Europe – PIXEurope”

 

 Responsibilities in the Research Team

  • Measurement of optical and electronic parameters of photonic and electronic integrated circuits;
  • Development of optoelectronic measuring stations;
  • Standardisation of measurement processes;
  • Verification of the compliance of manufactured integrated circuits with designs;
  • Preparation of documentation;

 

Requirements:

  • Master of Science or above in electronics, photonics or related fields;
  • Experience in optoelectronic measurements, fibre optic measurements and integrated photonics;
  • Experience in designing and testing the quality of printed circuit boards;
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C++, LabView, Python;
  • Knowledge and proficiency in using the Altrium or Ansys design environment;
  • Teamwork skills;
  • English language at professional level;
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience related to electronics or photonics;

 

Recruitment Process:

  • Document Review: Application documents will be reviewed by the recruitment committee.
  • Interviews: Selected candidates will be invited for an in-person or remote interview.
  • Evaluation: The committee will summarize findings, and results will be emailed to candidates and posted on the CEZAMAT website within 10 days of completing the recruitment process.

Note: The job start is planned for February 2026.

    The Controller processes the following personal data:

    • Full name, address, email, and phone number.
  • Voluntary Provision of Data:
    Providing your personal data is voluntary but necessary for the recruitment process.
  • Purpose of Processing:
    Your personal data will be processed solely for the recruitment process.
  • Your Rights:
    You have the right to:

    • Access, rectify, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data.
    • Object to data processing.
    • Note: Since the processing basis is not consent, the right to data portability does not apply.
  • Data Transfers:
    Your personal data will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area.
  • Data Sharing:
    Your data may be shared with:

    • The Consortium Leader, the Managing Entity, or other entities authorized by law.
  • Data Processors:
    Entities performing processing-related tasks under the Controller’s mandate may access your data.
  • Automated Decision-Making:
    The WUT does not employ automated decision-making or profiling regarding your personal data.
  • Retention Period:
    Your data will be retained for the duration of the recruitment process and thereafter as necessary for legal claims or other statutory requirements.
  • Right to Complain:
    If you believe the processing of your personal data violates GDPR, you may file a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection in Poland.
