Job Announcement:

2 positions as researcher/specialist/assistant professor „FD-SOI Pilot Line for Applications with embedded non-volatile Memories, RF, 3D integration and PMIC, to ensure European Sovereignty” (FAMES)  funded by Horizon Europe Authorities under GA 101182279 and Ministry of Science and Higer Education Republic of Poland under GA No. MNiSW/2025/DIR/849

 

Location, Employment Form, and Conditions:

  • Employment Type: employment contract (1 FTE), commission agreement or other type of agreement .
  • Workplace: Warsaw University of Technology
  • Contract Duration: Initial 3-month probation period, with a total contract duration of minimum 24 months, including the probationary period.
  • Role: Participation in a research project titled „FD-SOI Pilot Line for Applications with embedded non-volatile Memories, RF, 3D integration and PMIC, to ensure European Sovereignty”

 

 Responsibilities in the Research Team

  • Comprehensive electrical characterization of RRAM devices as well as test and array structures fabricated within the project;
  • Development and further refinement of methods for the analysis of measurement data obtained from array-based structures;
  • Analysis of electrical characterization results in the context of the physics of RRAM device operation, including identification of the mechanisms responsible for the observed properties and limitations of the investigated structures;
  • Correlation of measurement results with fabrication technology, device geometry, and array architecture in order to identify directions for process optimization and improved test structure design;
  • Collaboration in the design, testing, and validation of array structures intended for demonstrator applications, in particular for PUF and TRNG systems;
  • Preparation of measurement procedures, experimental plans, and tools for the automation of data analysis;
  • Documentation of obtained results in the form of technical reports, project documentation, scientific publications, and conference presentations;
  • Cooperation with project partners in the interpretation of results, preparation of demonstrators, and implementation of research and development tasks.

 

Requirements:

  • to have completed higher education with a master’s degree or equivalent;
  • to have a PhD degree;
  • to have a very good command of English ;
  • to have a scientific profile related to the specialization of the research unit;
  • to have knowledge of issues related to technology of thin, and ultra-thin dielectric and conductive materials using various techniques;
  • to have knowledge of the technology and characterization (optical, structural, electrical) of semiconductor structures and devices confirmed by scientific achievements in the field (publications, book chapters, patents);
  • to have experience in realizing the research projects (experience in successfully applying for funds for research will be an additional asset);
  • to have competencies in the analysis of data obtained through the electrical, optical and structural measurements and characterization techniques;
  • to have knowledge in the physics of semiconductor devices and structures;
  • to have experience in working in clean-room laboratories (it will be an additional asset);
  • to have good interpersonal skills, ability to cooperate within multinational research teams and to work under time pressure;
  • to work with students as members of a learning community and team building;
  • maintaining own continuing professional development;
  • maintaining a safe work environment, including ensuring compliance with legislation and undertaking risk assessments.
  • Teamwork skills

 

Recruitment Process:

  • Document Review: Application documents will be reviewed by the recruitment committee.
  • Interviews: Selected candidates will be invited for an in-person or remote interview.
  • Evaluation: The committee will summarize findings, and results will be emailed to candidates and posted on the website within 10 days of completing the recruitment process.

    Your data will be retained for the duration of the recruitment process and thereafter as necessary for legal claims or other statutory requirements.
  • Right to Complain:
    If you believe the processing of your personal data violates GDPR, you may file a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection in Poland.
