Scholarship Offering Institution/Employment Location: CEZAMAT Center for Advanced Materials and Technologies, Warsaw University of Technology, Poleczki Street 19, 02-822 Warsaw.
Position Title:

Scholarship Holder under the NCN SONATA-19 project „Application of Cell-on-a-chip Microsystems for Studying the Course and Monitoring the Treatment of Autoimmune Peripheral Demyelinating Diseases”

Candidate Requirements:

  1. General knowledge of cell culture, cytotoxicity analysis, and microfluidic technologies.
  2. Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  3. Experience working in cleanroom laboratories is a plus.
  4. Scientific and research achievements (publications) or other documented research activities are a plus.
  5. Status of student.

Research tasks:

  1. Fabrication of cell-on-a-chip microsystems using microfabrication technologies (e.g., 3D printing, polymer casting, plasma layer bonding).
  2. Macro- and microscale neural cell culture.
  3. Cytotoxicity and molecular analyses (qPCR, ELISA).

  • Duration: 10 months
  • Planned start date: March 1, 2026.
  • Scholarship amount: PLN 1,000/month.

Candidates’ applications will be evaluated by the Scholarship Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) in accordance with the Regulations for Awarding National Science Centre Scholarships in Research Projects Funded by the National Science Centre. The Committee reserves the right not to award a scholarship and to re-run the competition. Selected candidates will be individually invited to an interview at CEZAMAT, ul. Poleczki 19, Warsaw. The competition results will be announced on February 13, 2026.

Required documents:

  1. Cover letter.
  2. CV addressing the above-mentioned expectations (previous academic achievements, including any publications, awards and distinctions, conference participation, etc.).
  3. Confirmation of completion of first-cycle studies and student and/or doctoral student status.

Please include the following clause in your submitted documentation:

„I consent to the processing of my personal data included in the scholarship offer for the purposes necessary for the recruitment process, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act of 10 May 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1781, consolidated text).”
Additional information:

  1. The Personal Data Controller is the Warsaw University of Technology, with its registered office at Pl. Politechniki 1, 00-661 Warsaw;
  2. The Controller has appointed a Data Protection Officer to supervise the correctness of data processing, who can be contacted at the following email address: iod@pw.edu.pl;
  3. Personal data will be processed pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) and (b) of the GDPR for purposes related to the scholarship award process;
  4. The recipients of personal data will only be individuals involved in the implementation of the grant „Biomaterials inducing DNA demethylation as tools for future neural regeneration therapies”;
  5. Personal data will be stored for a period of 5 years;
  6. The obligation to provide personal data is necessary to apply for and receive the scholarship. Failure to provide certain data will result in rejection of the application;
  7. No automated decisions will be made regarding the Scholarship Holder’s personal data;
    8. The Scholarship Holder has:
  8. the right to access their personal data pursuant to Article 15 of the GDPR;
  9. the right to rectify their personal data pursuant to Article 16 of the GDPR;
  10. the right to request the controller to restrict the processing of their personal data pursuant to Article 18(2) of the GDPR;
  11. the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office if they believe the processing of their personal data violates the provisions of the GDPR;
  12. The Scholarship Holder is not entitled to:
  13. the right to erasure pursuant to Article 17(3)(b), (d), or (e) of the GDPR;
  14. the right to data portability pursuant to Article 20 of the GDPR;
  15. the right to object to the processing of their personal data pursuant to Article 21 of the GDPR, as the legal basis for the processing of the Contractor’s personal data is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.
