Project
Heterogenous diamond biosensing nanoarchitectures: opto-electro-chemical interactions with antibody complexes.
Description
The principal aim of the project is to synthesize and investigate heterogeneous 3-dimensional diamond nanoarchitectures (periodic nanowalls, nanocages or nanoneedles) revealing a fundamentally new sensing approach where optical (OPT) and electrochemical (EC) interrogation will be used simultaneously for biosensing. The aim will be reached by induction synergy of the latest advances in diamond and nanodiamond nanotechnology achieved in the PL and CZ teams and thereby design, produce, and analyze a new hybrid 3D nanostructured diamond surfaces biofunctionalized by electro-assembled antibodies complexes using a novel OPT-EC approach.
The project is carried out in cooperation with the Gdańsk University of Technology and a foreign partner: the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
