CEZAMAT WUT receives EU Funding for the development of future electronics

Excellent news for the advancement of cutting-edge technologies at CEZAMAT WUT.
The project “Pilot Production Line for Printed Electronics Dedicated to the Internet of Things and Wearable Electronics” has received funding from the European Regional Development Fund under the European Funds for Mazovia 2021–2027 Programme will be implemented at our Centre, among other locations.
The total value of the project amounts to PLN 8,216,054.20, including ERDF funding of PLN 4,619,818.00.
The official agreement signing ceremony was attended by representatives of regional authorities and the Warsaw University of Technology, including our Director, Mariusz Wielec.
The project will support the further development of CEZAMAT WUT research and technological infrastructure in the areas of printed electronics, intelligent systems, and advanced functional materials.
As part of the initiative, a modern modular demonstration line will be established, enabling functional printing processes to be carried out under near-industrial conditions. The infrastructure will facilitate advanced R&D activities and support the development of technologies with high implementation potential for industry.
The project includes, among others, the development of:
– flexible sensor structures,
– Internet of Things (IoT) technologies,
– wearable electronics,
– intelligent environmental and biological monitoring systems,
– advanced roll-to-roll printing technologies and functional materials.
The new infrastructure will increase the technological readiness of developed solutions, support technology transfer to industry, and strengthen cooperation between CEZAMAT WUT, industrial partners, startups, and the R&D sector.
The project is fully aligned with the strategic activities of our Centre focused on the development of future-oriented technologies.
