Technologist – µ-fluidics

Position: Technologist – µ-fluidics
Application deadline: May 28, 2026, 1600 (Central European Time)
Applications with required documents (CV, scientific output, copies of documents confirming academic degrees) should be sent by email to: Katarzyna.Potera@pw.edu.pl
Responsibilities:
• Participation in the development of piezoelectric µ-energy generator (Energy Harvester) technologies, especially in terms of filling with working fluid and sealing of structures;
• Selection of coatings sealing the µ-generator structure, ensuring both chemical stability when exposed to the working fluid and mechanical resistance to operating pressures inside the generator;
• Design of µ-fluidic structures enabling filling µ-generators with working fluid;
• Mechanical processing of coatings – fabrication of designed µ-fluidic structures;
• Analysis of fabricated sealing coatings in terms of ensuring tightness;
• Development of a procedure for preparing the µ-generator chamber prior to filling by evacuating air to a specified pressure;
• Development of a procedure for filling µ-generators with the working fluid defined during the project, in such a volume that the chamber is partially filled with liquid and partially with its saturated vapor;
• Optimization of the manufacturing process of sealing coatings enabling medium- and large-scale production of µ-generators;
• Development of a procedure for alignment of sealing coatings with the silicon-based µ-generator structure;
