Job Announcement:
1 position as a technology specialist/research assistant/assistant professor in the project
„Advanced Photonic Integrated Circuits Pilot Line for Europe – PIXEurope” funded by the from Horizon Europe under GA Project 101213727 and Partners‘ National Public Authorities
Location, Employment Form, and Conditions:
- Employment Type: employment contract, commission agreement or other type of agreement (1 FTE).
- Workplace: Warsaw University of Technology
- Contract Duration: Initial 3-month probation period, with a total contract duration of a minimum of 24 months, including the probationary period.
- Role: Participation in a prestigious research project titled „Advanced Photonic Integrated Circuits Pilot Line for Europe – PIXEurope”
Responsibilities in the Research Team
- Participation in the fabrication of photonic components and semiconductor devices
- Development and execution of technological processes, including dry and wet etching, lithography, plasma deposition, and thermal processes
- Development and execution of inter-process inspections, including scanning electron microscopy, optical microscopy, atomic force microscopy, ellipsometry, and profilometry
- Participation in the measurement work of manufactured components
- Preparation of process and measurement documentation
- Preparation of publications and conference presentations
Requirements:
- PhD in the area of solid-state physics, photonics, electronics, chemistry, mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience working in a cleanroom laboratory and/or optical measurement laboratory.
- Knowledge of integrated photonics and semiconductor devices.
- Knowledge of engineering design software, e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB.
- Minimum 3-month internship abroad.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Knowledge of English at a communicative level.
Recruitment Process:
- Document Review: Application documents will be reviewed by the recruitment committee.
- Interviews: Selected candidates will be invited for an in-person or remote interview.
- Evaluation: The committee will summarize findings, and results will be emailed to candidates and posted on the CEZAMAT website within 10 days of completing the recruitment process.
