Competition for the position of Specialist / Senior Specialist – Technology Transfer Coordinator (M/F)

The person will be employed for Project No. FENG.02.01-IP.05-T004/23 titled “Center for Terahertz Research and Applications CENTERA2”. The project is co-financed by the European Union through the European Funds for Smart Economy 2021-2027 (FENG), Competition of the Foundation for Polish Science, Priority 2 Innovation-friendly environment, Measure 2.1 International Research Agendas.

Place, form and conditions of employment:
• part-time employment contract;
• stationary work at the Center for Advanced Materials and Technologies CEZAMAT of Warsaw University of Technology, Poleczki 19 Street, 02-822 Warsaw;
• work on the implementation of the research project entitled “Center for Terahertz Research and Applications CENTERA2” , project number: FENG.02.01-IP.05-T004/23.

Responsibilities and role in the research team:

We offer a part-time position at the CENTERA2 Research Unit within the Center for Advanced Materials and Technologies (CEZAMAT) at Warsaw University of Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercialization of research results obtained within the MAB project.

Key responsibilities include:
• the commercialisation of the results of scientific research and research and development work carried out as part of the MAB CENTERA 2 project;
• the development and updating of the knowledge and technology transfer strategy;
• the coordination of activities relating to the implementation and proper execution of the strategy;
• monitoring and analysis of market trends and developments, as well as preparation of recommendations regarding the implementation and commercial potential of research results;
• supporting processes related to the protection of intellectual property, including the identification and safeguarding of outcomes with commercial potential;
• cooperating with units of the Warsaw University of Technology involved in technology transfer and commercialisation;
• seeking opportunities to establish cooperation with businesses and other entities interested in utilising research results, including the active promotion of the technological portfolio;
• cooperating with the research team and external partners in the field of technology transfer.

Requirements:
• a university degree;
• at least 5 years professional experience in the field of research results commercialisation, technology transfer and cooperation between academia and business;
• knowledge of intellectual property law, particularly regarding the protection, management and commercialisation of research results;
• knowledge of technology valuation principles and the ability to prepare technology proposals;
• an entrepreneurial approach to the commercialisation of research outcomes and the ability to identify a technology’s market potential;
• the ability to conduct negotiations and experience in holding discussions with business and institutional partners at the level of management boards and decision-makers;
• competence in strategic communication;
• knowledge of English at a level sufficient to conduct international cooperation, including negotiations and the preparation of documentation;
• independence, initiative and excellent organisational skills;
• no conflict of interest and no competitive activities in relation to the Center for Terahertz Research and Applications CENTERA2

Recruitment process:

• contacting selected candidates and inviting them to a recruitment meeting in person or remotely;
• job interview;
• summary meeting of the recruitment committee;
• announcement of recruitment results – recruitment results will be sent to candidates by email and published on the CEZAMAT website.

The recruitment process is planned for October/November 2026.
