Biography
Dr. Marcin Szymon Filipiak is a graduate of the Faculty of Chemistry at the Warsaw University of Technology (2014) with a MSc degree in Biotechnology Engineering (specialization: Microbioanalytics). In 2019 he defended my PhD thesis entitled 'Carbon-based nanomaterials for biosensing applications' at the University of Heidelberg in Germany. He also completed MBA for Startups studies at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics in 2024. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the Center for Advanced Materials and Technologies CEZAMAT of Warsaw University of Technology. He has expertise in (bio)electrochemistry, field effect transistors, microfluidics, nanomaterials, and surface modification and characterization in the context of (bio)sensor development, with a focus on point-of-care medical diagnostics.
