HyFiDress Training School 1: Fabrication and Characterization of (Multifunctional) Hybrid Hydrogel-Fibrous Constructs
Nowadays, advanced materials research increasingly combines theoretical understanding with hands-on experimental skills. In this training, participants will explore the fabrication and characterization of multifunctional hydrogel–fibrous constructs, with a particular focus on electrospinning techniques and hydrogel-based materials. The course is designed to provide both fundamental knowledge and practical experience in state-of-the-art material processing.
During this full-day, practice-oriented training, you will gain insights into key concepts of electrospinning and hydrogel systems, followed by extensive laboratory sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to work with specialized laboratory set-ups, prepare solutions, investigate the influence of processing parameters, and observe how different conditions affect fiber formation or hydrogel structures processing.
In the second part of the training, participants will continue hands-on activities and engage in a case study focused on the characterization of electrospun and hydrogel materials. Working with real samples, attendees will propose appropriate analytical approaches tailored to the intended application, thereby strengthening their problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
The training will be delivered by experienced researchers from JUNIA and WUT and offers a unique opportunity to combine theoretical background with practical laboratory work in an international research environment.
Participants are kindly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the detailed agenda provided with this announcement.
We warmly invite all interested researchers, PhD students, and professionals to participate in this intensive, interactive training!
