Innovation Hub Workshop – Inauguration of Mazovia EDIH
On 12 June 2024, the Centre for Advanced Materials and Technologies WUT hosted an Innovation Hub workshop to launch the Mazovia EDIH project.
The conference was opened by CEZAMAT WUT Director Mariusz Wielec. The coordinator of the Mazovia EDIH project Krzysztof Lipiec announced the launch of services as part of an innovative business assistance centre in the area of digital transformation. This activity is directly linked to the role of CEZAMAT WUT as a place where representatives of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will be able to access knowledge and technology, both in terms of research services provided by CEZAMAT WUT, as well as in terms of mutual support and networking partners, building an ecosystem within the Mazovian Voivodeship.
Aleksandra Szwed, Deputy Director of the Department of Regional Development and European Funds from the Office of the Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship in Warsaw, was the guest of honour at the event.
During the event, digital innovation opportunities for SMEs within Mazovia EDIH were presented in cooperation with IZTECH and Łukasiewicz-PIAP. The projects ‘Startup Platform – Central Innovation Accelerator Mazovian StartUPolis’ and ‘European Research Infrastructure for Semiconductor Integrated Circuits INFRACHIP’, implemented at CEZAMAT WUT, were also presented.
The event was aimed at the exchange of experience and needs between participants, promotion of CEZAMAT WUT’s and Mazovia EDIH’s offer, and strengthening cooperation between the science and business sectors. Guests also had the opportunity to visit CEZAMAT WUT laboratories, learn about research opportunities and directions of research conducted in the unit.
Partners of the event were: Marshal’s Office of the Mazovia Voivodeship in Warsaw and the Polish Clusters Employers’ Association.
The European Digital Innovation Hub of Mazovia (Mazovia EDIH) project supports the implementation and exploitation of digital potential. By combining enabling technologies with advanced digital technologies, Mazovia EDIH contributes to accelerating the digital and green transformation of the industrial sector at regional and national level.
The workshop of the Innovation Hub project at the Centre for Advanced Materials and Technologies focused on the effectiveness of the cooperation of the CEZAMAT Centre for Advanced Materials and Technologies with the economic environment, supporting innovation processes and the commercialisation of research and development results and know-how related to these results, including the promotion of good innovation practices for large research infrastructures in the areas of microelectronics, photonics and bionanotechnology.
