Job Announcement:

 

Microfluidic cartridge characterization specialist for the project titled:

Functionalized magnetocatalytic nanoparticles in lab-on-foil systems and digital microfluidics for medical biomarker detection funded by the National Centre for Research and Development from the European Funds for a Modern Economy programme – STEP

 

Location, Employment Form, and Conditions:

  • civil-law contract (approx. 0.4 FTE);
  • on-site work at the Warsaw University of Technology;
  • employment period: 3-month probationary period (total contract duration, including the probationary period: 17 months);
  • work on a prestigious research project titled „Functionalized magnetocatalytic nanoparticles in lab-on-foil systems and digital microfluidics for medical biomarker detection.”

 

 Responsibilities in the Research Team:

  • Development of an analysis methodology using microfluidic cartridges
  • Integration and characterization of microfluidic cartridge components
  • Investigation of unit operations within microfluidic cartridges
  • Processing of obtained results
  • Preparation of documentation

 

Requirements:

  • Higher education degree (M.Sc. or M.Sc. Eng.) in biotechnology, chemistry, or a related field
  • Experience in the analysis of biological samples
  • Experience in developing lab-on-a-chip, lab-on-a-foil, or similar systems
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Good command of English and Polish
  • Experience in conducting scientific projects

 

Recruitment Process:

  • Document Review: Application documents will be reviewed by the recruitment committee.
  • Interviews: Selected candidates will be invited for an in-person or remote interview.
  • Evaluation: The committee will summarize findings, and results will be emailed to candidates and posted on the CEZAMAT website within 10 days of completing the recruitment process.

    Your personal data will be processed solely for the recruitment process.

    You have the right to:

    • Access, rectify, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data.
    • Object to data processing.
    • Note: Since the processing basis is not consent, the right to data portability does not apply.
  • Data Transfers:

    • The Consortium Leader, the Managing Entity, or other entities authorized by law.
  • Data Processors:
    Entities performing processing-related tasks under the Controller’s mandate may access your data.

    The WUT does not employ automated decision-making or profiling regarding your personal data.
  • Retention Period:
    Your data will be retained for the duration of the recruitment process and thereafter as necessary for legal claims or other statutory requirements.
  • Right to Complain:
    If you believe the processing of your personal data violates GDPR, you may file a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection in Poland.
