Job Announcement:
Specialist in nanoparticle surface modification for the project titled:
Functionalized magnetocatalytic nanoparticles in lab-on-foil systems and digital microfluidics for medical biomarker detection funded by the National Centre for Research and Development from the European Funds for a Modern Economy programme – STEP
Location, Employment Form, and Conditions:
- civil-law contract (approx. 0.3 FTE);
- on-site work at the Warsaw University of Technology;
- employment period: 3-month probationary period (total contract duration, including the probationary period: 20 months);
- work on a prestigious research project titled „Functionalized magnetocatalytic nanoparticles in lab-on-foil systems and digital microfluidics for medical biomarker detection.”
Responsibilities in the Research Team
- Synthesis and surface modification of superparamagnetic nanoparticles with selected ligands and polymers
- Investigation of the magnetic and catalytic properties of the obtained nanoparticles
- Conjugation of nanoparticles with selected bioreceptors using physical and chemical methods
- Analysis of the obtained results
- Preparation of documentation
Requirements:
- Higher education degree (M.Sc. or M.Sc. Eng.) in biotechnology, chemistry, or a related field
- Experience in the synthesis and modification of magnetic nanoparticles
- Experience in fabricating bioreceptor-based layers on various substrates
- Ability to work in a team
- Good command of English and Polish
- Experience in conducting scientific projects
Recruitment Process:
- Document Review: Application documents will be reviewed by the recruitment committee.
- Interviews: Selected candidates will be invited for an in-person or remote interview.
- Evaluation: The committee will summarize findings, and results will be emailed to candidates and posted on the CEZAMAT website within 10 days of completing the recruitment process.
