Technician/research officer/specialist

Job Announcement:
as technician/research officer/specialist in the project „Advanced Photonic Integrated Circuits Pilot Line for Europe – PIXEurope” funded by the from Horizon Europe under GA Project 101213727 and Partners‘ National Public Authorities
Location, Employment Form, and Conditions:
- Employment Type: employment contract, commission agreement or other type of agreement (min. 0,5 FTE).
- Workplace: Warsaw University of Technology
- Contract Duration: Initial 3-month probation period, with a target contract duration of minimum 12 months, including the probationary period.
- Role: Participation in a research project titled „Advanced Photonic Integrated Circuits Pilot Line for Europe – PIXEurope”
Responsibilities in the Research Team
- Development of optoelectronic measurement setups, supervision of measurement equipment and laboratory facilities.
- Organization of measurement workstations and planning of measurement experiments.
- Performing measurements of photonic integrated circuit parameters as well as bulk optical components, including lenses, holograms, and similar elements.
- Preparing and carrying out semi-automated measurement processes using equipment available in the laboratory.
- Collaborating with process engineers and circuit designers.
- Reporting results and preparing technical documentation.
Requirements:
- Higher education degree in photonics, electronics, physics, or a related
- Experience in optoelectronic measurements, optical fiber system testing, and/or silicon photonics (photonic integrated circuits).
- Knowledge of photonic integrated circuit technologies and concepts.
- Basic programming skills, e.g., in Python and LabVIEW.
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Good level of English, both written and spoken.
Recruitment Process:
- Document Review: Application documents will be reviewed by the recruitment committee.
- Interviews: Selected candidates will be invited for an in-person or remote interview.
- Evaluation: The committee will summarize findings, and results will be emailed to candidates and posted on the CEZAMAT website within 10 days of completing the recruitment process.

If you believe the processing of your personal data violates GDPR, you may file a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection in Poland.
