The Ursynów Science Festival is over, but the inspiration remains
On May 22, 2026, CEZAMAT WUT once again became part of an event that inspires the youngest generations to explore the world of science, technology, and modern innovation. During the Ursynów Science Festival, we demonstrated that science can be a fascinating adventure — full of experiments, excitement, discoveries, and genuine passion.
This year’s edition was especially meaningful to us thanks to the tremendous commitment of the CEZAMAT WUT team. Our scientists, PhD students, and all those supporting the event put an enormous amount of work into preparing inspiring workshops, hands-on experiments, and opportunities for participants to explore CEZAMAT laboratories.
The countless smiles of children, the many questions asked during demonstrations, and the strong interest in modern technologies clearly showed how important initiatives like this truly are. For many young participants, it was their first opportunity to see advanced research equipment up close, take part in real scientific experiments, and speak directly with scientists working daily on the technologies of the future.
Great interest was generated both by the workshops organized at our headquarters on Poleczki 19 Street and by the activities conducted during the festival itself at Ursynów Cultural Centre Alternatywy. Participants had the opportunity to discover the world of intelligent materials, modern electronics, and contemporary technologies used in medical diagnostics.
One of the major attractions of the event was also the Boston Dynamics robot dog, which sparked great excitement among both children and adult participants. The opportunity to experience cutting-edge robotics in action became an unforgettable experience for many attendees and a perfect example of how dynamically future technologies are evolving.
Special thanks go to our scientists and researchers:
- PhD Jakub Trzciński
- PhD Eng. Ewa Rybak
- MEng Jan Górniaszek
- MSc Monika Śmigielska
- MEng Dominik Baraniecki
- PhD Eng. Jerzy Szałapak
- MEng Aleksandra Kądziela
It is thanks to your energy, patience, and passion that participants were able to see that behind modern science stand people who can truly inspire the next generation of young explorers.
We would also like to thank all participants for their presence, curiosity, and the fantastic atmosphere. We are delighted that together we could show that science does not have to remain confined to laboratories — it can amaze, engage, and genuinely inspire.
We look forward to seeing you at future events promoting science and innovation!
